Why should I choose to private pay for help at home?

Private home care (such as GOLDEN WELLNESS) offers a caregiver-to-patient ratio that is more favorable to the client. At Golden Wellness we are not a corporation, we are a private duty service that offers one on one care to our clients.  At an agency, you may not have the same caregiver every encounter.  At Golden Wellness you WILL have the same caregiver - allowing you to build a trusting relationship.   At Golden Wellness our relationship with our clients allows us to be their ADVOCATE - something an agency cannot provide.   Private home care provides transportation to doctors appointments, communication with primary care and specialty services all while listening to our clients and ensuring that their needs are met and their concerns are heard.  We want to build a relationship with our clients so we both enjoy every encounter.

Golden Wellness offers more flexibility to fit a client's needs.  With private pay home care, clients and families can avoid dealing with insurance claims. This means no paperwork or stressful back-and-forth with insurance companies.

We offer flexibility.  By covering costs out of pocket, clients and families can choose the level of care and create a schedule that works. Need a quick medication reminder one day but weekly wellness checks the week after?  That’s possible with the flexibility of a private-pay home care plan.

We help you sustain independence.  Clients can remain at home with a level of independence that is impossible in a nursing home or other senior living facility.

Are “Home Health” and “Private Duty Home Care” the same thing?

Home Health is a medical service for people who are homebound which includes skilled nursing, at-home physical therapy, pain and prescription management, and wound care.  Insurance may assist you with Home Health if you are considered "homebound"  meaning it is extremely difficult for you to leave your home and you need help doing so.  

 

Private Duty Home Care Nursing (Such as GOLDEN WELLNESS) can offer you care at any point when you feel that you need it.  Using prevention to keep you healthy and happy in your home by managing disease states closely, we can work with you to succeed.  Our rates are typically less than bigger companies around the area.  Yet we are able to provide more personalized service to you.  However,  you will not be able to bill your insurance for our services.
